Sunset Slice at Bistro 55 – Sunset Beach

One of the newest additions to the restaurant scene in the Brunswick Islands, Sunset Slice at Bistro 55 operates out of Sea Trail Golf Resort in Sunset Beach.

Sunset Slice makes their pizza dough in-house and uses only high-quality ingredients to ensure that each pizza comes out the best it can be.

Gluten-free crust or cauliflower crust is available in a 10” size.

Maria’s Pizzeria – Ocean Isle Beach

Maria’s Pizzeria is the go-to spot for visitors to Ocean Isle Beach. Located just off the island, it’s a convenient pit stop before your vacation officially begins.

The recipe—double zero Neapolitan flour, water, sea salt, and yeast —is simple, but the result is delicious.

Gluten free crust is available in a 10” size.

Maria’s Pizzeria is open year-round.

Patronies Pizza – Holden Beach

You’ll find Patronies Pizza in Supply, near Holden Beach, but its recipes are “Born in Brooklyn.” The Patrone family opened the shop in 2009 before selling the business in 2023 to Michael and Victoria Smith.

Yet, the shop remains in dedicated hands. Michael started working at Patronies as a freshman in high school. Over a decade later, he worked up the experience to purchase the shop outright and true to his love for the business, Patronies continues to make the same delicious New York style pizza on the Carolina coast.

In addition to classic topping combinations, you’ll also find “Shrimp Parmesan” pizza and “Hot Honey Pepperoni” pizza on the menu.

Pepperoni Grill at the Beach – Oak Island

There’s something about pizza being served steps away from the ocean that makes it better. Being recently named one of “The 10 Best Italian Restaurants in North Carolina Locals Recommend” by Dailywise.com, that’s something Pepperoni Grill at the Beach on Oak Island knows a thing or two about. Opt for a classic tomato and cheese pie or try a new favorite like their “Mamas’ Lasagna” pizza.

Copper’s Wood-Fired Kitchen – Bald Head Island

Copper’s Wood-Fired Kitchen located in the Maritime Market Cafe on Bald Head Island uses sourdough dough and cooks their pizzas at 900 degrees in a wood-fired oven. Menu highlights include “Chicken Bacon Ranch” and “Garden Club.”

Cauliflower crust is available in a 12” size.

Pizzetta’s Pizzeria – Leland

There’s a pizza on the menu at Pizzetta’s Pizzeria in Leland for every kind of pizza lover. From the thin crust “Nonna’s Pizza” to the extra thick crusted “Sicilian Pie” you can’t go wrong.

Mama Brava’s – Shallotte

Mama Brava’s in Shallotte has been a pizza staple in the Brunswick Islands since 1988. From the kitchen, “Master Pizza Chef” and owner Karim is known to greet customers with cheer. That and the great pizza brings folks back year after year.

Try their Bar-B-Q Chicken pizza topped with grilled chicken and Mama Brava’s award-winning Manja sauce.

Dry Street Pub & Pizza – Southport

A dining experience at Dry Street Pub & Pizza in Southport encourages you to linger among the locals. Owners Brian and Stacy Smith take pride in their family run operation where the food is fresh, the service is friendly, and thin crust pizza has been bringing people back since 1996. In addition to a menu full of classics, Dry Street Pub & Pizza also serves a rotating menu of specialty pizza combinations.

Bella’s New York Pizza – Calabash

Bella’s New York Pizza in Calabash has been serving locals and visitors to the “Seafood Capital of the World” for nearly 20 years. The shop’s menu is complete with both timeless favorites and other specialty combinations including “Buffalo Chicken” and “Spinach & Feta.”

Pizza is also sold by the slice, and Bella’s never skimps on the toppings.

Bella’s New York Pizza is open year-round, seven days a week, although off-season hours may vary.
