Join the Old Baldy Foundation for a relaxing and educational tour of Bald Head Island aboard a golf cart! Explore the island's pristine beaches and maritime forest while your guide narrates Bald Head's four centuries of history. Hear about the demise of pirate Stede Bonnet during the Battle of the Sandbars, see the remains of Fort Holmes from the Civil War, and witness the vastness of Cape Fear. If you're lucky, you can spy on some of the island's wildlife, such as alligators or egrets. Your tour will end at Old Baldy, North Carolina's oldest standing lighthouse. After a guided tour of the grounds, climb up to the top for a 360-degree view of the Cape Fear River estuary.

Tours are Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 10:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

All tour participants must depart from Deep Point Marina on the 10 a.m. ferry. The tour guide will meet participants at the Bald Head Island Ferry Terminal at roughly 10:20-30 a.m. as the ferry arrives. Tour admission includes a guided tour and admission into Old Baldy Lighthouse. Tour admission does not include ferry tickets.
