The NC Festival by the Sea is a 2-day event that kicks off with a parade down the Holden Beach causeway on Saturday at 10 a.m. This is the only day of the year that you can walk across the Holden Beach bridge (around 9:30 - 11:00 am). Before the parade, begin the day with a sand sculpting contest at the Jordan Blvd beach access, which will be judged at 1:30 p.m., and music by the Carolina Breakers. At 11:30 a.m. there will be a flag ceremony and National Anthem with Grand Marshall Veterans. Enjoy music by Hunter Varnum, Surf Radio broadcasting live, the Imitations, and 6:30 p.m. street dance with the Legacy Motown Revue on Saturday and music by CC Martin on Sunday. Enjoy contests such as a mustache and beard contest, children's costume contest, a shag dance contest, and even a beauty pageant. Children can enjoy face painting, balloon art, bouncy houses, arts and crafts and more. Live musical entertainment, food, and arts and crafts vendors will be there both days at Holden Beach's Pavilion.
