Brunswick Islands
Caswell Beach
The brightest lighthouse in the United States sits on the shores of Caswell Beach—and it’s also one of the only night lights you’ll find in the town. With a pristine and entirely residential atmosphere, this section of Oak Island is a place you can truly unwind in classic beach-vacationing style. Spend a day on a local fishing pier, or on a thrilling deep-sea fishing expedition reeling in prize catches such as tuna or marlin. Visit historic Fort Caswell, and an old-fashioned coast guard station. Or simply relax on the beach, taking a stroll at low-tide to search out fine shell specimens. You’ll find conveniences of all kinds on the other half of Oak Island, but on your return to Caswell Beach, you’ll also come back to the peace and serenity that make you know you’re truly on vacation.
